As a baby Christian, I used to believe that God was all about following rules. I thought that surrendering to Him meant a lifetime without any pleasure. I tried to follow the "rules" but always ended up feeling defeated and guilty about the same patterns of sin.

Romans 12 has radically changed my thinking! I now realize that following the rules isn't what God wants. When I began to believe that God truly wants His very best for me, it became really easy to say no to the things that I know aren't His will. I'm done being deceived, and feel like I genuinely desire what God desires for my life.
